For all shots (except for putting), place the ball in the middle of the two front black dots and 1 inch behind.
The yellow dot on the screen that reads “no ball detected” will turn green and say “ready” once registered.
Depending on your golf posture, you may have to pull the ball closer to your feet. If you are wearing a ball cap, you may have to turn the cap backwards so it doesn’t interfere with the lights above you.
When putting, you need to place your ball on the single black dot at the back edge of the hitting surface.
Once the ball is registered and ready with a green light showing on screen, you may putt*
*Putts will auto adjust to the break and all you need to do is judge the correct power/distance and putt the ball as straight as possible.
*NOTE: The distance from the putting location to the screen acts as a 10-foot putt. Adjust your stroke accordigly based on your distance to the hole.
When chipping, depending on your stance/posture and type of club you are using you may experience difficulties.
If you are standing too close to the ball and “hovering” over the ball, you will cast a shadow from the overhead lights. This in turn will NOT allow your shot to register. Step further back from the ball and/or pull the ball closer to the edge of the hitting surface on the same side as your feet to avoid shadows.
If that does not work, pull the ball to the single black dot on the back edge of hitting surface and hit from there. NOTE: When doing this your ball will not show as registered and “ready” but will register once you strike.
If you are a player who uses dark coloured golf clubs (usually wedges, but applies to any club), you will have a very difficult time getting your shots to register even though the ball has been detected.
If this is the case, you will need to place white stickers on the toe and heel of your golf club as shown. Please ask your server for the stickers if not readily available.
*Skill level and Handicap are not relevant for normal game modes.
For quickest and most enjoyable experience, players should choose a tee block based on their average driving distance.
275+ Yards = Black Tees
250 – 275 Yards = Blue Tees
225-250 Yards = White Tees
200-225 Yards = Red Tees
<200 Yards = Yellow Tees
For a traditional golf experience, select STROKE PLAY as your game mode. This mode will take the longest to complete.
For a quicker round between 2 golfers, select MATCH PLAY – SINGLES.
For groups of 6 or more golfers, we strongly suggest playing SCRAMBLE as your game mode. In scramble you can designate teams and allow for a quicker game play amongst larger groups.
Once your initial set-up is complete and your course has been selected, refer to the below recommendations regarding game settings for the most enjoyable experience.
Once all game settings below are set to your preferences, hit accept and proceed to the final page and declare your selected holes.
Front Nine (1-9) | Back Nine (10-18) | All Holes (1-18)
Depending on your skill level, mulligans can provide relief from bad shots, mistakes and faulty technology reads. However, too many mulligans used will take up time and may not allow you to finish your round during your rental duration.
GIMMES: We strongly suggest setting gimmes to a minimum of 10 feet. The longer the gimme range, the quicker the round will take and the better you will generally score!
If your group decides on NO putting, please set the putting setting to “Autoscore” – this setting will automatically generate a putting outcome based on your distance to the hole when on the green.
Maker sure the auto continue is set to 5 seconds or less. This will reduce the amount of buffer time between shots.
By setting the auto drop & rehit setting to “OFF”, players will choose where to drop and rehit their ball from when hitting a shot into a penally area. This is advised to ensure you drop from a safe place and distance you are comfortable with.
Setting the auto drop & rehit feature to “ON” will speed up gameplay when hitting a ball into a penalty area however, you may not always get the most favourable drop position.
This setting will penalize players for hitting into the rough, sand and deep rough and will reward players for being in the fairway.
For the most enjoyable experience, we recommend setting this to “DISABLED”. For the most realistic golf experience, we suggest setting this to “ENABLED”.
Environment settings will vary based on player preference and skill level.
For the most enjoyable and easiest gameplay experience, we recommend setting all environment features to the following:
WIND: None | ELEVATION: Course elevation | GREEN HARDNESS: Soft or Moderate | GREEN SPEED: 8 or 9 | FAIRWAY HARDNESS: Moderate
